Welcome to an awe-inspiring hour!
Award-winning science journalist Robert Naeye will present a whirlwind tour of our amazing solar system. He will explain how and when it formed, where it is located within the much larger Milky Way Galaxy, and which places offer the best prospects for finding extraterrestrial life. The presentation will be illustrated with beautiful images and artwork of the Sun, planets, moons, asteroids, comets, and rings.
Robert Naeye has spent more than 30 years writing about space science for magazines such as Discover, Astronomy, and Sky & Telescope. He served as editor in chief of S&T from 2008 to 2014. He also worked as a senior science writer at NASA’s Goddard Space Flight Center in Maryland. Robert is the author of two books about astronomy and he contributed to three others.
