Robert Naeye: History of the Earth In-Person
Earth has gone through profound changes since its formation 4.5 billion years ago. This presentation will go through the planet's many changes, describing how Earth evolved from a literal hellscape to the lush and verdant world we enjoy today. Life itself has played a critical role in transforming the planet, making it a more hospitable place that could support complex plants and animals. The speaker will also describe how volcanism, ice ages, and asteroid impacts delivered massive body blows to the planet, occasionally wiping out almost all life, but by reshuffling the evolutionary deck, these disasters ultimately paved the road to the origin of human beings.
